We have the latest in digital audio post production facilities and the experience to match. We can offer these as stand-alone services or as part of a recording project. A list of facilities can be found below:
Audio editing
This is the process of cutting and pasting all the best parts of each recorded take together to create the most musical and perfect performance possible. For this we use Pyramix digital multitrack editors, as used at Abbey Road and by other top recording companies. Our aim is always to combine the best, most fluid phrases rather than just getting rid of wrong notes. We believe editing is a creative and musical process not just a clinical one and that the final product needs to sound like an living, expressive performance not just a string of mechanical notes. That said, where necessary we make detailed edits, cutting in individual notes in order to create a correct rendition, albeit ensuring the artistic flow is maintained.
Cedar Retouch
This is revolutionary software which allows the removal of noises and even wrong notes. This can be used to get rid of almost any unwanted noise including chair squeaks, coughs, traffic noise, mobile phones etc. Details can be found here.
Mixing
We offer automated mixing facilities including surround sound mixing, reverb, dynamics, EQ, and sound effect processing.
Mastering
Essentially this is where improvements are made to the overall sound, rather than individual tracks/microphones. We can EQ, level match, add reverb as well as compression recordings, which makes them seem louder and richer.

Restoration/noise reduction
We have the same software used by the police audio forensics experts to remove background noise, hiss and hum. This allows us to improve the quality of old or poor recordings.
Other services
We offer almost any audio related service including: MP3 encoding, pitchshift/time stretch, format transfers (e.g. cassette or minidisks put onto CD), full ISRC, PQ and Red Book CD coding.
